Classical Torres guitar

Since he performs without nails on a Torres replica strung with gut strings, Alexander Makay holds a unique position within the classical guitar world, re-establishing a true romantic sound esthetic. 

His repertoire covers a wide range from Bach over Romanticism to postmodern 20th century work in addition to his own transcriptions and compositions, keeping alive a tradition of composer-performer established to its full extent by the 19th century guitar giant Francisco Tárrega.
